From MichaelMoore.com (20 August):
I hated leaving Camp Casey, but this is a family emergency and the doctor couldn’t really tell us about the status of our mother by phone. I couldn’t bear to be worrying about her from so far away.
From DailyKos on August 1 (before she home left for Dallas and then Crawford):
DarkSyde: How are your three other children coping with Casey's death and do they have any issues with the role you've assumed as a critic since that tragedy?Cindy Sheehan: Carly the oldest has coped by throwing herself into school. Andy is coping by becoming Casey. Janey is coping by drinking and partying.
Unfortunately, I am not able to help them that much because of my pain, and because I feel so compelled to fight the injustice and bring the troops home. I know they believe that what I am doing is right, but they wish we weren't in the situation, as do I.
I can't be sure what they believe about the rightness of what Cindy Sheehan is doing, or what they think about the fact that Cindy Sheehan found time fly home to see her mother but seems to be ignoring her children.
But I have it on good authority that the Patrick Sheehan and two of the Sheehan kids were seen in a Vacaville cafe yesterday, and did not seem to be making immediate preparations to travel to LA to see either Aunt DeeDee, Grandmother Sheehan, or Cindy Sheehan herself.
I guess not making time for family cuts both ways.
