So much has been made of the signature. You know, the one that Michael Ignatieff so reluctantly added to the petition to hand over the government to a Liberal-NDP coalition propped up by the separatist Bloc Quebecois?
So to put it to rest, here is the petition.
On the very last page, on the very last line, is Michael Ignatieff's scrawl:
Notice that everyone else made an effort to block print his or her name in the second column, in contrast to the signature. Only Michael Ignatieff prints as he writes.
Probably doesn't mean much, other than you can almost imagine Michael Ignatieff cursing under his breath as he dashes off his signature, hoping this would never come back to haunt him.
